An external inline fuel pump is an electric pump mounted outside the fuel tank, in the fuel line, that pushes fuel to the engine at the pressure a fuel-injected system needs; this one is rated at 6 bar.
What’s in the box
- 1 x external inline fuel pump with black cylindrical body
- 1 x banjo-style outlet fitting (fitted)
- 2 x rubber terminal boots
- 2 x blue insulated ring terminals
- 2 x terminal nuts
- 4 x washers
Key features
- Rated at 6 bar
- External, inline mounting
- Threaded female inlet port at one end
- Banjo-style outlet fitting with side port and O-ring seals at the other end
- Separate positive and negative stud terminals, colour-coded red and blue, with a + marking on the end cap
- Rubber boots to cover the terminals
Typical uses
- Upgrading fuel supply on modified fuel-injected engines
- Turbocharged or high-output builds where the factory pump is at its limit
- Supplementary or lift-pump setups with a surge tank
Installation notes
Mount the pump below the fuel level where possible, and fit a pre-filter on the inlet side and a filter after the pump. Wire it through a correctly rated fuse and relay with suitable cable. Fuel work is a fire risk, so depressurise the system and disconnect the battery first, and check for leaks before running the engine. We recommend fitment at the Menin Motorsport workshop in Pretoria, where wiring, filtering and pressure can be checked together.
